Nobody likes to waste time waiting for file transfers to complete. It is an annoying situation, I know. But, you see, there is something you can do about it. You can get BurstCopy for example, a tool that will significantly reduce the amount of time it takes to transfer files from one location to another.

To get BurstCopy up and running on your PC, you must go through a standard installation procedure: download an installer, run it, follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard. In no time at all you will have BurstCopy ready to be used on your Windows-powered PC.

Please note that officially, BurstCopy provides support for Windows 98, ME, 2000, and XP. By using compatibility mode, I got it to run just fine on a Windows 7 PC. I also got it to run on a Windows 8.1 PC, but it did not run smoothly and clashed with Windows Explorer.

BurstCopy has a small interface that provides support for multiple languages (Arabic, Danish, English, French, Italian, Korean, Polish, Romanian, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Slovenian, Swedish) and provides support for multiple skins (Normal, Little One Blue, Little One Gray, Win 9x, Win XP Blue, Win XP Olive Green, Win XP Silver).

Using BurstCopy is a fairly simple process. First up, you must pick the files you want to transfer; to do this you need only drag and drop the files you want to transfer onto BurstCopy’s interface. Then you must select the destination, the location where you want the files to be transferred. And then you must sit back and wait for the transfer to complete. As previously mentioned, BurstCopy is a tool that will significantly reduce the amount of time you have to wait for file transfers to complete.

If BurstCopy runs into an error, the file transfer will not be terminated. A prompt will show up, inform you about the error, and invite you to choose an action – like retry for example.

BurstCopy is free to use for a trial period of 30 days.

Rapidly transfer files from one location to another. Thanks to BurstCopy you will waste less time waiting for transfers to complete.

Pros

Installing BurstCopy on a Windows PC is an effortless task. The interface provides support for skins and multiple languages. Using BurstCopy is a very simple matter. Transfers are not terminated if an error occurs.

Cons

Trial limitations: 30-day trial. Did not run smoothly on a PC powered by Windows 8.1.
